Music plays a big role in my life; it is an essential and nonverbal way for me to express my happiness, joy, creativity and sadness. It was only 2 days ago when i was listening to my iPod while working and Cesarias was playing with her warm and unforgettable voice. And that suddenly reminded me of how I fell in love with her the moment I heard her sing many years ago.
It was the summer of 1999 and I was in New York, sitting at Daniel Boulud's Renowned French chef, Café Bouloud, sipping on champagne and enjoying the city's beautiful afternoon. And then I heard her signing in the background and time stopped for a moment. That mesmerizing voice and music filling the restaurant enriching the environment and enhancing the wonderful mode. I interrupted our French sommelier to find out more about the music, and he brought me the CD "Café Atlantico" with a smile. I even remember the songs: Amor di Mundo (Love the World) and Sorte (Fate) ... same night I bought a couple of her CDs and she has been one of my favorite singers since. You might even say it was "Love at first Hearing".
Beautiful voice and soul … may Rest in Peace Cesaria
